The role requires you to have hands-on technical experience and a can-do approach towards environment automation and management along with continuous improvements. You will be a team member working closely with the customer. Your responsibilities will include working with internal business partners to gather requirements, prototyping, and architecting complex solutions supporting the building and test plan execution, performing quality reviews and triaging and fixing operational issues. You will have the opportunity to become the subject matter expert for various subsystems of the aircraft and contribute to the overall design of the software.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to take ownership of hard problems and drive to a solution while working in a team environment and providing leadership for its implementation. It is critical that you understand the software development life cycle and have an in-depth knowledge of automated testing to facilitate and analyze large data sets. The Software Engineer will participate in the full life-cycle of software development, including requirements development, modeling, and design, application development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related science, Engineering, or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master’s degree. Agile experience preferred.

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Guide internal customers on how to configure and deploy PaaS infrastructure consisting of identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, deployment, and more.
• Collaborate with Software Architects on how to best design their cloud applications for optimal scaling including content caching, compute optimizations, continuous integration and delivery pipeline, load balancer setup, and more.
• Interface with internal and external customers to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower them.
• Work closely with Project Management to build and constantly drive excellence in our solutions.
• Guide engineering teams in evolving Cloud technologies..

Job Description:

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Be responsible for software releases, configuration, monitoring and support of all production system components and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot technical or functional issues in a complex financial environment to provide timely resolution, with various applications and platforms that are global.
• Work with users to understand and gather their needs in our catalogue. Then participate in the required developments.
• Manage several streams of work concurrently.
• Get in touch with our teams abroad to deploy and adapt existing European and Asian tools.
• Bring a passion to stay on top of DevOps trends, experiment with and learn new CI/CD technologies.
• Utilize various open source technologies.
• Use various tools to orchestrate solutions.
• Build independent web based tools, microservices and solutions.
• Write scripts and automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash
• Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc
• Understand how IT operations are managed.
• Manage source control including Bitbucket and GIT.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Computer science or Information Technology.
• Experience on any programming language, such as Java or Python.
• Experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of Software Engineering and Computer Science principles.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Ansibe, Terraform etc..
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and Azure.
• Understanding of internet security and data privacy best practices in highly-regulated industries.

Responsibilities for this Position:

• Developing and executing a Global Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and programs to scale globally whilst being tailored to local needs.
• Lead or participate in global Equality, Diversity & Inclusion projects to successful delivery.
• Investigate and conduct deep analysis of the internal data, to build a clear image of equality and diversity across the organisation.
• Earn trust across a range of levels and disciplines; establish yourself as a trusted subject matter expert to inspire leaders at all levels to drive prioritisation of and commitment to EDII goals.
• Disseminate learning and awareness-raising across the company, making use of existing networks and developing new ones where appropriate.
• Translate best practices in EDII into readily available resources and programs aligned to business needs; disseminate resources in a variety of formats across all levels of the organization.
• Report on EDII efforts and partner with the business and the People team to drive improvements in hiring and retention.

Overview:

This candidate must possess the ability to work as a member of a small, highly-skilled team in a dynamic environment, as well as to participate in systems design, code development, debugging, and integration and testing of new capabilities, enhancements & modifications into the operational baseline. The work expands automated, continuous software deliveries from multiple development teams to deployments on cloud and on-premise systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Working on technical challenges to provide innovative solutions, troubleshooting systems (Linux/windows/certificates), implementing new capabilities, Helm File installing/configuring, and supporting test activities with IA personnel, interacting with end-users, customers, and other program engineers, and more.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in STEM discipline with 0+ years of software development, or 4+ years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Working knowledge in containerization for rapid deployment and integration of defects/features; i.e., Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience in workloads with high-performance requirements and developing efficiencies, i.e., digital transformation.
• Knowledge of Virtualized Environments, including: architecture, creation, deployment, and management of VMs.
• Knowledgeable of object oriented design and software lifecycles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Web Development.
• Proficient with Cloud Development/Deployment.
• Adept with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible.
• Competent with NoSQL, Apache Tomcat, and GitHub.
• Experience supporting operational systems, as well as working within an Agile Development process.
